Terms of Service

CertTwin produces a translation draft for you to review. It is not a certified translation. Every page of output is marked PREVIEW_ONLY, and no receiving authority is obliged to accept it. Whether to have a translator certify the reviewed text is your decision.

1. What the service does

You upload a document; CertTwin extracts it, translates it, rebuilds the layout, runs nine quality checks, and presents the source and the translation side by side for you to correct and approve. Nothing is final until you approve it. Automated checks reduce errors; they do not eliminate them, and they are not a substitute for your review.

2. Your document, your responsibility

By uploading a document you confirm that you are entitled to do so — it is yours, or you have permission from the person it concerns. You must not use CertTwin to create, alter or assist in creating any document intended to deceive, including forged or falsified official records. We will withdraw access for this without notice.

3. Access

CertTwin is invite-only during closed testing. We may grant, refuse or withdraw access at our discretion. Sign in with Google, or with a one-time link sent to your invited email address.

4. Price

US$1.00 per page. A page means one page of a PDF, or one image file. A job's page count is shown before any charge, and only jobs that finish and reach the review console are charged — a job that fails is not.

During closed testing the service is free and no payment method is collected. We will not begin charging without emailing you first, and no charge will ever apply to work done before that notice.

5. Limits

• Up to 20 pages per job, and 50 MB per file.
• PDF, PNG and JPG only.
• Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German and Japanese, in any direction. Chinese ⇄ English has had the most testing.
• Daily processing limits apply per account to control cost. If you reach one, it resets the next day.

6. Refunds

Once charging begins: if a translation is not delivered, or the output is unusable because of a defect on our side, tell us within 14 days and we will refund that job in full. Because the output is a draft you review, dissatisfaction with a wording choice you can edit yourself is not a defect.

7. Availability

This is a closed test. There is no uptime commitment, and we may change or suspend the service. Keep your own copy of every source document — do not rely on CertTwin as storage, particularly given the deletion schedule in the Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, CertTwin is provided as-is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including a document being refused by any authority, or a deadline being missed. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the job concerned. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Changes and contact
